Day 5
The Pagoda visit was quite similar to that we would find in Singapore. Learning about the Vietnamese/Chinese Buddhism as well as listening to some folk tales of Vietnam, I was intrigued by their folk tales as I used to read a lot of folk tales when I was young.
Next up was the orphanage visit where we toured around the orphanage and mingle with the orphans there. Although it was a brief two hour, I know that our act of compassion will be deeply engraved into the heart of the orphans there. Seeing their smile just makes me feel that this social responsibility to contribute back to the society was not only fun but also satisfying.I understand the passion now for social worker and volunteers to provide a better home or place for these kids to stay.
Equipping them with the necessarily skills and education for their future and although their parents have forsake them but as long as they do not forsake themselves, it is just the beginning of a different and more comfortable life for them.
Soon after our lunch after our short visit to the orphanage where we brought lots of fun and laughter to the kids, we proceeded to Ben Thanh Market to do our muchly anticipated SHOPPING!!!!!!!Shopped and shopped for around 4h + and went back to our Hotel and told Tieh Min to wake me up cause it was going to be the last night of partying and i didn't want to miss it...and ... I MISSED IT... ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!T.T... Jeff brought more Volka and they play lotsa of new game.. aiyah.. missed out on the ending la...
