Day 3
The business forum at MyDuc Ceramics has satisfied my curiosity of what it was like to set up a business in Vietnam and has made me seen that this was a land of opportunities as this is still a developing country and now would be the best opportunity to venture into the various sector here despite the many risks involved.
Singaporean with the entrepreneurship spirit would most likely try to mimic Singapore strategy here in Vietnam but they would have to look to our past because Singapore is after all 30 -40 years ahead of Vietnam. Having the experience and having gone through this period before, I guess this is an upper-edge we hold over the Vietnamese but having said that, we must also be diplomatic and not be ethnocentric.
The cruelty of war described in the war crimes still send shiver down my spine.
Now I know why everyone keep praying for world peace for war is the most terrifying thing. Millions or billions of dollar lost, countless lives lost.
Having seen what nuclear warfare can cause. I just pray to God that such a thing will never happen in future again.
Cyclo tour of Notre Dame Church, Reunification Halls and Post Office was indeed a scary but exciting ride. It was a hair-raising experience as I nearly had an accident. At the end of the tour, I tipped the guy US $1 but later on I felt that I should have given more. He cycled hard and even tried to converse with me and Vietnam being in poverty state, shouldn’t I have done something to contribute back to their country and help people in poverty?
So why not give more to them so that they receive?Isn’t it better to give than to receive as a good act begets another?
We settled our dinner on our own and did a bit of shopping after the tour and at night, had party again but Marcus miss a fun night. HAHA.. he too tired le...
